Using different kinds of cameras when filming a monitor (CRT TV, LCD, projections, etc.) will open up a great variety of capturing textures and style.
While a optimal modern hi-fi 4K camera will offer lovely detailed crisp capturing, try using ‘out-dated’ cheap digital cameras for interesting effects. You don’t need a pricey 4K camera to make good art with analog video. I use a Canon G9 (out-dated 720p) and a Sony A6000 (current 1080p) for example in these photos.
